How Kinga Mobile works
Kinga Mobile sits on top of your MoMo wallet. You add money from your wallet, pay people and businesses by their number, and cash out back to your wallet, with safety checks at every step.
Your money, step by step
Add money from your MoMo wallet
Choose an amount and confirm with your PIN or fingerprint. Your network asks you to approve on your own phone; never enter your MoMo PIN anywhere else.
Pay by phone number
Enter the person's number and amount. Before anything is sent you see the name registered on their wallet, whether it matches their Ghana Card, and any warnings.
Approve it yourself
Confirm with your fingerprint, face or 6-digit PIN. A fingerprint approval only works for that exact payment, so it can't be reused or redirected.
Both of you get a text
You and the person you paid each get an SMS naming the other person, with the new balance.
Cash out when you like
Send your balance back to your own MoMo wallet from Bank & funds.
What happens behind the scenes
Every payment is risk-checked
New recipients, large first payments, unusual amounts and numbers other customers have reported raise a risk score. Low risk goes straight through; medium risk shows you a warning to read first; higher risk is held for our team to check; confirmed scam numbers are blocked.
A record you can trust
Every movement of money is recorded twice (where it came from and where it went), and nothing is ever edited afterwards, so balances always add up.
Staff can't act alone
Our team works with masked details. Sensitive changes, like unfreezing or closing an account, need a second person's approval, and every action is logged.
On any phone
Kinga Mobile works in your phone's browser. On Android or iPhone you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app: in Chrome, tap ⋮ then Add to Home screen; in Safari, tap Share then Add to Home Screen. Access by USSD for phones without internet is planned.
